Alumni Meet 2013

The Annual Alumni Meet 2013 was held on 9th February 2013 at FICCI Auditorium, New Delhi. The evening saw an all time high participation of alumni with close to 800 alumni coming in to celebrate the bond with alma mater and have a great time with their old friends.

Celebrated poets Padam Shri awardee Shri. Surendra Sharma, Dr. Arun Gemini and Mr. Sampat Saral entertained the audience with their poems. Our own alumni Shri Jainendra Kardam compeered the It was followed by enthralling flute recital by our fellow alumni and a senior IPS officer, Muktesh Chande.

Shri R. P. Aggarawa, IAS (Retd.), Chairman of Board of Management, Delhi Technological University graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

President Karnal Singh proposed & the general body unanimously adopted the new name for the association DCE-DTU Alumni Association expanding the alumni body to include the new alumni as graduates from the university.

More than 100 enthusiastic alumni from Golden and Silver Jubilee batches (1963 and 1988) were felicitated. Some of these alumni flew in from all parts of globe to be part of the event.
Distinguished Faculty : Prof. KC Palta (Mathematics), Prof. BN Mishra (Electronics) and Prof. NL Sachedva (Mechanical Engineering).

Distinguished Alumni Award: Mr. Ashok Khurana DG CPWD, Mr. OP Bhutani Diretcor BHEL, Mr. IJ Kapoor Director NTPC and Mr. Sanjay Nayar CEO KKR.

Besides above, two new awards were included this year to include Entrepreneurs & Professional who in last 5-10 years have achieved stupendous success. The Trailblazer award was given to Mr. Amul Gabrani, VC & MD, Tecpro group of companies.

The Meritorious Student Awards were also presented to toppers from both Bachelor’s & Master’s Programme.
