The Alumni Association organizes an Annual Alumni Meet every year in the month of January. However, this year on the suggestions received from some of our senior Alumni, the Meet has been organized in the month of February when winter takes a backseat and weather becomes pleasant.
The Day of the Meet is 2nd February 2008 (Saturday) and the venue remains the same as the previous Meet in 2007 (FICCI Auditorium, New Delhi). To celebrate the occasion, a "Hasya Kavi Sammelan" has also been organized. The Hasya Kavi duo of Shri Surendra Sharma and Shri Arun Gemini will be there, among others, to tingle your laughter bone and make the occasion memorable. As is the tradition, Golden Anniversary and Silver Anniversary batches (1958 and 1983 passouts who are Members of the Association) shall be felicitated.
The previous Annual Meet was held on 28th January, 2007 (Sunday). Dr. T. Subbarami Reddy, Hon'ble Minister of State for Mines, Government of India, was the Chief Guest. A Hasya Kavi Sammelan was also organized. The Meet was attended by a record gathering of more than 800 of our Alumni and their family members, both from India and abroad. As is the tradition, three of our Alumni namely, Shri Santosh Kumar, Shri Chander Prakash and Shri A.K. Sarin were honoured with Distinguished Alumni Award by the Hon'ble Minister.
