It gives me great pleasure to inform you that the website of Alumni Association of DCE has been launched on 3rd Dec. 2005 by Shri Vijay Madan, Executive Director, C-DOT at DMA Conference Hall, India Habitant Centre, New Delhi. The function was presided by Shri S.M. Mahajan, General Manager, BHEL. Shri Satish Kumar, Director, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation was the guest of honour. With the launch of the website a much felt need has been fulfilled. This will not only facilitate effective & faster communication among the Alumni members and keep them updated about the associations activity but also help them know about their fellow members. I hope with the website having become operational, members would keep their contact details updated.

Further, I would like to inform the alumni members that the next Annual Alumni Meet is going to held on 14th January 2006 (Saturday) at Talkotra Stadium, New Delhi. As is the tradition, in this annual meet, 1956 & 1981 batch passouts who are members of the alumni association shall be felicitated. On this occasion a Souvenir is also going to be released. Alumni are requested to contribute articles on technical/management topics and also topics of national importance. I would also request the members to arrange advertisements for the Souvenir. The necessary form for this purpose is available on the website.

I also have the pleasure of informing you that the Alumni Association has decided to offer Associate Membership of the Association to the third year and final year students of DCE. This will facilitate increased participation of the students in the Association’s activities. In addition, provision of Annual Membership has also been made for the Alumni of DCE. Necessary forms for these types of memberships are available on the website.

I sincerely hope that with your cooperation & support the Alumni Association will reach greater heights and will grow in future to become an effective platform for interaction and also contribute towards the alma mater and the nation at large.
