Thank you for your continued support & patronage for the Annual Meet on behalf of the Governing Council and Organising Committee for an overwhelming response.

I congratulate each one of you on 75th anniversary of our alma mater - Delhi Polytechnic, Delhi College of Engineering & Delhi Technological University. We are grateful to our past Principals, Vice Chancellors, Faculty and Alumni for the glorious 75 years of excellence in technical education and contribution to the field of engineering & technology. Their competence, dedication and hard work has earned the prestigious reputation to our institute. It is heartening to observe that current faculty is doing a wonderful job in furthering this legacy under able leadership of current Vice Chancellor Prof. Yogesh Singh.

Your alumni association organized several new events to celebrate The Platinum Jubilee Year. These events were dedicated to alumni, faculty and DTU students. A brief synopsis of the events are: .

1. A conference on Power Sector themed “‘24x7 Power for All – Roadmap & Roadblocks”.

2. Teachers’ Day Celebration: A ‘Hasya Kavi Samellan’ at the DTU Campus for the faculty and their families followed by dinner.

3.Motivational Lecture: A motivational talk by Management Guru & our alum of 1960 batch Dr, Vijay Chopra was delivered for the benefit of DTU students.

5.“UDAAN – a Startupthon contest for Start-ups” was organized for the first time by alumni and students at the DTU Campus. Our august alumni Mr. Sharad Sharma, iSPIRT, Sanjay Modi, MD, Monster India, Alok Goel, MD, SAIF Partners, Pravin Sinha, Founder, Jabong and, Rohit Chadda, Founder, Food Panda were speakers at the Business Incubation Workshop co-hosted with the contest.

6.Annual Alumni Meet – 2016 was organised on 30th January 3016 at Air Force Auditorium & Lawns, Subroto Park, New Delhi. Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of NCT Delhi Shri Manish Sisodia graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

I can proudly say that your alumni association continued to deliver on objectives to facilitate the students, faculty and the university to excel in their areas and provide a platform to alumni to connect with each other and with alma mater.

We continued to increase our engagement with DTU and have had high level of cooperation and support from the institute. Alumni fraternity is suitably represented at various events taking place at DTU. Alumni Association activities are also reported in unofficial campus newspaper DTU Times..

I take this opportunity to thank Shri Karnal Singh for leading the Alumni Association as President from 2005 to Dec 2015 for his stupendous contributions and support. His leadership and passion has been instrumental in creating a strong alumni association

On behalf of governing council, I look forward to your contributions in multiple ways as we launch new initiatives to create a stronger alumni fraternity and adding strength to DCE-DTU brand.
